Yankie Reveals Music Video for “Spell My Name Right”

Yankie expects you to know his name in new track “Spell My Name Right”!

Many know underground rapper Yankie as Yankie but not many know him as Andre which is his true self. Through this album, he wants to show both sides of him by starting off with making sure you know how to spell his name right.

1theK says, “Yankie’s second name is Andre. This album, named after his baptismal name, consists of the stories behind Yankie’s life under two different names. Not only as Yankie the rapper, but also as Andre the average human, he shares with us what he realized about his inner self during his break away from music.

The title song “Spell My Name Right” is a slow funk song with some brassy sounds. It’s a fun, upbeat number with some modern vibes to the overall mood. The message in the song shouts, “This is who I am and I can be better.” It definitely shows how Yankie, despite his hiatus, really poured his soul and mind into the rap.”
