The KBS2 drama started in 2012 and ended in 2013. School 2013 had top stars like Lee Jong Suk, Park Se Young, Kim Woo Bin, Jang Nara, Choi Daniel and many more. With only 16 episodes and 1 special and the genre’s being School, Drama, and Youth, this drama did not disappoint. School 2013 had 4 other seasons before this one but are not related (you do not need to watch the first four seasons to watch this one because they have their own stories).
The first season started in 1999 and second season was the same year as the first. The third season was in 2000 while the forth season was in 2002; now, the drama is back in 2012 (2013) with a whole new story and completely new actors and actresses.
The drama is good for the whole family because it involves the daily struggles of parents, children as well as teachers. “School 2013” portrays the realistic issues, struggles and dilemmas that students usually go through.
This is the 2nd time that Jang Nara and Choi Daniel have starred together in the same drama. They were both leads of the successful 2011 KBS2 drama ‘Baby-Faced bBeauty’ where they acted as a couple. Now, the two are back as the lead teachers of the hit drama ‘School 2013’ which captured the heart of many drama fans. This drama doesn’t focus on the leads love lives (even though it’s intended), instead, it focuses on the relationship between the students and their teachers.
This drama is heart warming and really great to watch. Once you start it, you keep wanting to know what will happen next. It definitely draws you in, so be sure you have hours a day to spare for a few episodes!
The OST for “School 2013” included songs from Kim Bo Young, 4Minute, J-Min and more.
