On February 2nd, 2021, Fictitious Professor announced the completion of his project “30,” an ambitious undertaking and release of thirty tracks in the month leading up to his 30th birthday. The project is the cumulative expression and exhibition of his musical development and technical growth as a producer at this milestone in his life.
Each distinctively titled track pairs with an equally creative visualizer, designed and animated by artists Grace Park and Alex Luu. Listeners can vibe to the lofi music production of tracks like “Beach Front Lobby,” while enjoying the 3D setting sun outside the lobby window. Or they can get their day started with bass-heavier tracks like “Go” and run alongside the businessman in the visualizer.
The Beats
Fictitious Professor hopes his beats take listeners on a journey. “As much as I would love to welcome the next decade of my life with a big, live show,” he said, reflecting on the reality of life during a pandemic, “I’m just as excited to share my beats through listeners’ stay-at-home speakers.”
Fictitious Professor’s music production process streams on Twitch fueled his inspiration for this project. “30” is Fictitious Professor’s official debut release of a “beat tape” and marks the launch of his beats store on BeatStars.
Listen to “30” on Spotify and on YouTube. Beats will be available for lease on BeatStars.
