Not wanting to grow up and having to take on ‘big adult’ responsibilities are instinctive thoughts that appear in our minds every so often. ‘Hey Son’ is an open letter written to our past-selves. It illustrates a conversation of an adult to his/her inner child – with a mellow tone, memorable lyrics, and laid-back folk arrangement. Written and recorded in the heartland of Singapore, ‘Hey Son’ was produced by Thaddeus Lin and has been officially released on the 18th of June. Previously named Singapore’s top new artists 2020, the now 23-year-old received critical acclaim from the likes of B-side city, SGWonderwall, Scape, Hear65, The Fifth Parlour, Big Duck Music, LionHearTV and many more.

A singer, songwriter and producer based in the heartland of sunny Singapore. Thaddeus Lin is an upcoming Indie folk musician with a pocket full of intricate songs that provides solace during a laid-back rainy day or late night drive.
The synergy of Thaddeus’ curious mind and introspective songwriting concocted several intimate songs in the bedroom studio of his childhood home. With musical training since the age of 8, Thaddeus produces tracks that exude raw emotions while keeping a keen melodic sense. He draws his inspirations from the likes of Contemporary folk and Alternative musicians such as The Paper Kites, Gregory Alan Isakov, Radiohead, Hollow Coves, Novo Amor and Half Moon Run.
After experimenting with different styles in his first EP (I Wish It Rained Forever), Thaddeus’ musical palette matured to develop into a distinctive mellow tone accompanied by warm raspy vocals.
