Pocket Friends In Los Angeles with VANNER & MUSTB
South Korean boy groups, VANNER and MUSTB join forces with Pocket Friends to hold an exclusive concert for fans in Los Angeles. With a total of 2 days and 4 concerts, the 10 members take over The Vermont Hollywood venue. While there were fans present at the event, the main focus was the online stream that was held for fans from around the world.
HypnoticAsia was the only media present at the event so we are bringing you an exclusive recap and photos. We attended the event on Saturday, April 16th, 2022 where VANNER took the stage first followed by MUSTB.
VANNER
VANNER took the stage first at approximately 12:15PM. The 5-member boy group came out in their black and red checkered outfits. The talented group showcased many of their hit singles throughout the show. Tracks like, “Purge Day,” “Crying,” “Nasty,” “Better Do Better,” and of course, their latest release, “Rollin” to name a few. Each song they performed presented a great choreography, rap and vocals. They also performed a cover of Stray Kids’ “Thunderous”.
During part of the ment, the members asked Taehwan to sing a part of his solo song, “Frozen” which he did wonderfully, with no music needed. The group talked about their favorite concepts and songs as well as what they did with their time in Los Angeles. They revealed that they went to Six Flags (without Ahxian) and teased Taehwan who was scared of rollarcoasters.
Taehwan, Gon, Hyesung, Ahxian and Yeongkwan interacted with their fans who were present at the venue as well as online.
After the show was over, fans lined up for group photos and individual member photos (Polaroids) where they were able to once again interact with the sweet boys of VANNER.
Vanner recently ended their own “Boost Up” tour in the USA.
MUSTB
MUSTB was next to take the stage in Los Angeles. A few hours after VANNER ended their part of the show, it was time to let in fans for MUSTB. They went on at approximately 5:00PM and started the concert with an introduction video. Doha, Taegeon, Wooyeon, Soohyun, and Sihoo came out wearing hanbok-like outfits.
They performed several of their tracks including, “Realize,” “I Want U,” “Diamond,” among many more. Of course, they also performed their latest release of “Spring Again”. Half way through the show, they told fans to give them a few minutes for a clothes change! The members came back with white suits where they were able to perform some more songs for their fans online and in-person.
They mentioned that because BTS is holding their last concert in Las Vegas, they’ll perform the song “Permission To Dance”. Fun fact: Sihoo was a BTS backup dancer before debuting with MUSTB.
Before MUSTB ended their show, they made promises with fans (pinky promises) so that they’d come back for the show again the next day.
After their show, like VANNER, they posed with fans for individual and group photos (Polaroids).
MUSTB also ended their tour in the USA with these Los Angeles stops being their final ones. They made a promise to come back to the USA to see their fans once again.
Overall, both concerts were great and the boys were able to showcase their wonderful charisma for their fans in the USA and online for fans around the world. These two boy groups had one more day to perform for LA fans so we hope many fans attended the show on Sunday.
