PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE, The Latest Supergroup to Debut from LDH JAPAN, Have Released Their Debut Album, ‘P.C.F.’
The latest supergroup to debut from Japan’s supergroup artist management & entertainment company, LDH JAPAN, PSYCHIC FEVER, has released their debut album, ‘P.C.F.’. The album was released on all digital streaming platforms on the 13th of July. This also marks the groups debut as “PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE”, joining the ranks with other Jr. EXILE supergroups such as GENERATIONS, THE RAMPAGE, FANTASTICS, and BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE.
The album, ‘P.C.F.’ is a self-titled abbreviation of the group name. The focus single, ‘Choose One’, is a sensitive blend of hip-hop, melodic hardcore, and punk, combined together into an energetic track with West Coast vibes. Released digitally on June 27th, 2022, the song is a statement of determination for all 7-members to unite as one and aim for No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, as well as a desire to support listeners in their own personal journey, encouraging them to ‘Choose One‘ – namely their own goals and dreams. The song was performed for the first time at the final round of the largest ever LDH audition event “iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~” which was held at Nippon Budokan on May 21st, 2022. Since then, the song has already been gathering attention on social media. The band has undergone much training and growth and now, they’re confident to present “Choose One” to every one. The accompanying music video for ‘Choose One’ is also now available on YouTube.
Other singles in ‘P.C.F.’ includes previously released tracks before the band’s debut such as ‘Hotline’, ‘Best for You’, ‘Tokyo Spiral’ and ‘Snow Candy’. The album also includes new singles, ‘Bitter Sweet’, a sweet JPOP style topline with R&B flair on top of a hard beat and bassline, adding a new layer of allure. ‘Spark It Up’, a single that is infused with the band’s strong desire to reach further than Japan and become global artists. Capturing the essence of a hot, tropical night, in tandem with a solid Moombahton beat, it’s a high-energy song that brings hype. The addictive sound packs a punch and showcases each member’s unique style.
PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE has always had a “social media first approach” in all activities that they do. LDH JAPAN held its first “*Mushashugyo on TikTok” online event featuring ‘Hotline’, which attracted a total of about 300,000 viewers over six performances. The single, ‘Hotline’ has a main theme that centres on capturing that feeling of wanting to talk but being too busy to attend to the other person on the line, and narrowly missing the person you want to talk to the most. Rappers of the band also took on the challenge of singing with auto-tune for this single. ‘Hotline’ is made up of melodious yet chill beats, making it a surefire hit on the streets, as well as on TikTok. The single encapsulates the band’s signature ‘PsyFe Sound’, updated for the streaming era. This approach has already garnered the attention of overseas fans from the US, UK, as well as Southeast Asia, even before the band debuted.
Announced recently at a press conference in Japan, the band’s management, LDH JAPAN, together with HIGH CLOUD ENTERTAINMENT (Thailand) has signed a partnership agreement, to work together to amplify entertainment from Asia to the world through cultural exchange between Japan and Thailand. PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE will move all activities to Thailand for 6 months from August 2022 to January 2023. The band will be working alongside prominent Thai rapper and music producer, F.Hero to create and deliver a new collaborative flavor of entertainment in Thailand. Additionally, the groups’ stay in Thailand would be developed as a reality show, to be made available online.
