7-Member boy group, VERIVERY returned to the The Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles, California on October 7th, 2022. Members, Dongheon, Hoyoung, Minchan, Gyehyeon, Yeonho, Yongseung and Kangmin performed for the second time in less than a year at the same venue. In December 2021, the group held their first U.S. tour and used The Vermont Hollywood for their LA stop. In 2021, VERIVERY were one of the first K-POP groups to hold a concert in LA since the pandemic.
The K-POP boy group revealed that this is their third time performing in Los Angeles. Their first time was at KCON LA in 2019. VERIVERY began their concert with three strong dance tracks including, “Undercover”, “Connect”, and “O”. These songs hyped the crowd that had patiently been waiting at the venue to see their favorite group.
Many fans danced along, waved their lightsticks and sang along throughout the concert.
The VERIVERY Outfits
The members sported various different outfits including their dark black and gray concept for the first few songs. They took turns changing into their denim outfits – some members stayed on stage to keep the crowd excited for what is to come.
The VERIVERY members, Kangmin and Yongseung danced to Street Man Fighters leaders track sung by ZICO.
Yeonho and Minchan were also on stage as “MC’s” to see who danced the best. Yongseung won so he got to pick the first raffle winner. They each gave out balls with their autographs on it. After they gave their autographed balls to the raffle winners, the other 3 members came out in their denim outfits.
It was time for Hoyoung, Gyehyeon, and Dongheon who also danced to see who would pick their first raffle. Looks like leader wins by a landslide! Dongheon revealed that this is the first time he has won during the tour. He thanked LA because he previously lost on the 12 previous stops.
By the end of the concert, the boys were sporting their black PAGE: O concert t-shirts!
Unit Stages
Dongheon, Hoyoung and Gyehyeon formed the first unit and they performed a cover of “Kangaroo” by Wannaone. Soon after, Minchan, Yeonho, Yongseung and Kangmin did a cover of Why Don’t We’s “Love Back”. Of course, they all came together once again to perform an unreleased track, “Crack It” where Dongheon decided the crowd wasn’t loud enough so he opened his vest to reveal his abs. He is known to having a toned body and fans weren’t disappointed at this concert.
VERIVERY Become Rockers
After asking their fans, VERRER, which concept they preferred: DARK or BRIGHT, they were ready to perform another track. Hoyoung said they knew DARK would win so they prepared a special rock stage. VERIVERY performed a rock version of “G.B.T.B” and it sounded absolutely amazing. They showcased the style well even though their music is far from being rock. Dongheon mentioned that when he was younger, he would have liked to be a drummer in a rock band.
To prove just how into the song they were, Yongseung revealed that his mic had broke. He was disappointed because the mic was new and arrived for the tour. He said the mic was weak and couldn’t keep up with them!
Ending the Concert
They made sure to talk and interact with fans throughout the show. The group mentioned how they got Dave’s Chicken last time they were in LA and were expecting that again but were sad that this wasn’t the case. They hoped to eat it before leaving LA. Hoyoung also revealed that he noticed LA was a little cloudy but their fans were his sunshine so he was okay with the weather.
VERIVERY performed the English version of their song “Ring Ring Ring” before going into their encore stages. They ended the concert with “Alright!” and “Fine” among others.
It was clear that fans were happy to see the members in LA once again. They left with smiles and memories that will last them a lifetime.
