OMEGA X, a talented 11-member boy group from South Korea completed their tour in Los Angeles, California. We are positive many fans have already heard of the unfortunate news surrounding the members and their agency. Despite that, we wanted to ensure their hard work and dedication to the tour is highlighted.
On October 22nd, 2022, the lines outside The Orpheum Theatre in LA were long as fans waited to enter. Media were led to the balcony to see the special soundcheck they had for the VIP fans. Each and every member happily and cheerfully greeted the media present in the venue. While not all groups and artists acknowledge the press, the boys did not hesitate to thank everyone for coming.
Soundcheck by Omega X
The members of Omega X prepared two tracks to show their VIP fans in the audience. The first was “Vamos” while the second was a special English version of “Love Me Like”. Even though this was just their soundcheck and a small audience was present, they definitely performed as if the venue was full.
The Venue
It was finally time for everyone else to enter the venue and the seats were filling with excited fans. While The Orpheum Theatre is a historical venue, it was soon clear that it isn’t a great location for a K-POP concert. The venue has a useless pit that media can’t access for great photos. The screen on stage is too small and the VCR’s were constantly cut off; meaning fans couldn’t read the subtitles on the screen. Lastly, there are no railings when walking down the stairs and it was dark, therefore deeming it unsafe.
“CONNECT: Don’t Give Up” In LA
If you weren’t fans of OMEGA X before the tour, there is no doubt you left as a fan. The members are all very talented as they showcased their vocals, rap and dance skills throughout the show. They performed many of their songs including “What’s Going On”, “Venus”, “Take’EM All” among many others. OMEGA X also performed the fan favorites, “Vamos” as well as “Love Me Like”. Not going to lie, “Love Me Like” is an absolute masterpiece – from their choreography, instrumentals and vocals.
While the group has 11 members, they always performed tracks together – unlike other K-POP groups who usually prepare unit stages of some sort. Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk and Yechan continuously interacted with their fans in the audience throughout the whole show.
The OMEGA X Style
While it is clear that each and every member of OMEGA X have great visuals, they even have amazing style. The group had many outfit changes throughout the concert. They opened with red, black and white outfits that fit their style well. They then came out in all black attire which gave off a sexier feel for the next set of tracks performed. After a VCR break, the 11 members appeared on stage in a denim ensemble. Lastly, they ended their tour in Los Angeles and wore their black concert t-shirts.
OMEGA X are a rising K-POP group who have already won Seoul Music Awards Best New Artist and it was proven through their LA stop on the tour. Regardless of all the hiccups through the tour – from changing promoters multiple times to the drama with their agency, we hope the talented members continue to not give up.
