BABYMETAL made an unforgettable return to Toronto, Canada after 8 years and they take the stage at RBC Echo Beach on September 18 as part of their BABYKLOK Tour. Sharing the spotlight, co-headlining with DETHKLOK, the band featured in the American animated TV show Metalocalypse. With their unique fusion of J-pop and heavy metal, BABYMETAL has captivated audiences around the globe. They are creating a cultural phenomenon that defies genre boundaries.
Who are BABYMETAL?
BABYMETAL is composed of 3 members: Su-Metal, Moa-Metal and the most recently announced member, Momo-Metal. They lived up to expectations as they immersed fans in the Metal Galaxy and infectious melodies. They are accompanied by a live band, known as the KAMI band, and their performance was equally remarkable.
Concert begins!
As the lights dimmed and the crowd’s anticipation grew, BABYMETAL are welcomed with an uproar of cheers. They walked onto the stage, donning matching outfits. The three opened with the heavy metal track “BABYMETAL DEATH,” where the girls stand side by side as they jump up and down. They pose with their infamous kitsune hand sign. Then, they create an intense atmosphere as the audience headbanged and crowdsurfed throughout the night.
The high energy continues with the fan favorite, “Gimme Chocolate!!”. It is a fiery metal track paired with the girls high voices and more energetic choreographed jumps. More of their genre bending was showcased with the pop influenced “PA PA YA!!” along with metal tracks “Distortion”, and “BxMxC”.
Highlight of the night
One of the many highlights of the night was their performance of “Metal!!”. The track features guitarist Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. Prior to the trio’s electrifying entrance, the KAMI band seized the spotlight to deliver hypnotizing solos. Su-Metal continued to captivate the audience with her addictive vocals. Likewise, Momo-Metal dazzled with a solo dance performance. All the girls engaged with the crowd, encouraging them to sit down and jump up as the music surged in intensity.
As BABYMETAL’s time with their fans is soon to come to an end but they continued to capture the audience’s attention. They performed more electrifying songs and choreographed moves including “MEGITSUNE” and “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!”.

The trio delivered an encore with each member walking out holding a flag. The last song of the night is “Road of Resistance” and they showcase their talents once more. The chemistry between the 3 members shone throughout their performance, as they exuded confidence from the first note to the final encore.
As BABYMETAL said their goodbyes, fans enthusiastically held up the kitsune hand sign. Many vocally expressed their love for the band. The long awaited return of BABYMETAL to Canada after 8 years has been highly anticipated. Both the fans and the band now have lasting memories to cherish forever.
