The legendary idols, Moon Hee Jun, a former member of H.O.T., and Danny, a former member of 1TYM, will join in the festivities for 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
CJ E&M, which will be hosting MAMA, revealed on November 18 that the two former idols will be the MCs for the red carpet party for 2013 MAMA.H.O.T was the most popular 1st generation idol group that started the K-pop wave in the 90s. 1TYM was also another popular group that led the hip-hop wave within Korean music in the 2000s.
Both Moon Hee Jun and Danny are active in terms of performing songs and hosting music related programs. Moon Hee Jun currently hosts Mnet’s daily celebrity news Mnet Wide Entertainment News and Danny hosts Mnet America’s weekly music talk showDanny from LA.
The red carpet party is an event that invites top stars from in and out of Korea. It provides stars with an opportunity to show off their fashion style, including hairstyles and accessories, which often end up becoming a new trend among young people.
MAMA, hosted by CJ E&M, will gather some of Asia’s most popular stars in one place to celebrate and connect with music.
The 5th annual event will take place in Hong Kong Asia World-Expo Arena on November 22.
