B.A.P’s BABYz (fandom) gathered together on June 15th, 2023 at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, California! They came together after a long time to see Bang Yongguk, who is now a solo artist but originally debuted as the leader of B.A.P. It’s been several years since the artist performed on stage, especially in the United States.
Unfortunately, there is only street parking near the venue. Therefore, if you’re ever planning to be here, arrive early to ensure you find parking. Or a good option is to be dropped off and picked up.
Fans lined up early to see the rapper, Bang Yongguk. Once doors opened, the venue became filled. At approximately 7PM, the DJ, Samuel Ku, came to the stage and the show began. Fans screamed! It was clear they were excited for the show as many green Matoki Lightsticks (fandom lightsticks) light up.
Best. Absolute. Perfect. Bang Yongguk
Bang Yongguk came to the stage only 15 minutes after the DJ set foot on stage. He was wearing a black net shirt that showed off his body along with a button-up that wasn’t buttoned. The former B.A.P leader is definitely still as hot as he’s always been.
He started his set with the tracks “G.M.T” as well as “Up” and “Race”. From the very start, he kept the crowd hyped. He jumped around the stage, interacted with fans and shot hearts and smiles to his “babyz” who he hasn’t seem for quite some time.
After his track, “UFO”, he thanked fans for still supporting him. His chatted with the audience and mentioned he was glad that he made it back to LA.
Memories Return
The memories came rushing back for not only us, but everyone in the audience. Those fans who were there since the B.A.P days, felt a rush of nostalgia as Bang Yongguk performed his famous track, “I Remember” which originally featured Yang Yoseop! Instead though, he performed the version that included Daehyun, a fellow B.A.P member. Fans sang along to the words and it was literally a moment to remember!
After that performance, Bang Yongguk said it’s been a while but fans are still hot. He even revealed that even though he’s in LA, he hasn’t had In-N-Out yet which fans jokingly gasped.
Bang Yongguk moved on to the next set and he asked his audience to put their phones away for this next one. Surprisingly, everyone that we could see listened well and put their phones away. He performed “Screwed Up”.
Matoki!
When it was time for the next track, he borrowed a fans’ Matoki lightstick and asked the crowd what color this is. Of course it’s green and fans even jokingly said it’s red which made him laugh. But it was clearly time for his next song “Green”.
As mentioned before, Yongguk interacted with fans a lot. This time, he took some of his merchandise off the DJ table and told fans they should purchase it. He held up his clear back (perfect for concert-goers) and said it was sexy!
Hot & Sexy Bang Yongguk Performances
He performed many more tracks throughout what felt like a short concert. Bang Yongguk sang “Ride or Die” and fans were excited for this hit. Then it was time for “Ya” and he grabbed a water bottle. You may be thinking he sprayed the crowed during this track… but no. He poured the entire contents of the bottle on himself and I am sure you can imagine how loud the venue got. As if fans didn’t already know he was hot.
The water performance wasn’t over. During “Off”, it he threw water in the crowd because it isn’t a hip-hop concert without it.
He continued the concert with a few more tracks but it wasn’t until the end where he thanked his fans for coming, and said “I really hope you all love yourself as much as you love me”. He reminded his fans to keep smiling and don’t think too hard. It was time for the last track, “Orange Drive” which is a song dedicated to the audience and his grandfather.
Encore – See You Later
It’s not a concert without an encore. He came back out without his button up shirt to end the concert. He performed a couple tracks but ended with “See You Later” as his finale. Fans sang along and stayed attentive to the stage every second of the concert.
Nothing has changed – he is still an amazing rapper, has wonderful stage presence and showed love to his fans throughout the entire show. Bang Yongguk remains the Best. Absolute. Perfect. artist he has always been as he showcased his artistry. He apologized for taking so long to make his return but reassured fans that he was back now. We hope to hear more music by him in the near future and of course, more shows!
