K-Pop group, CRAVITY, are ready to take their next leap forward with the release of CRAVITY 1ST ALBUM PART 2 [LIBERTY : IN OUR COSMOS]. Referred to as “ones to watch” by Forbes, CRAVITY are ready to reach new heights with this album; by exploring various musical genres from one track to the next. Previously taking on a more powerful image with past releases, [LIBERTY : IN OUR COSMOS] is showcasing a more youthful side to the group. Their defiant new image implies that the boys have finally become free after overcoming their inner worries and struggles. The title of this album also suggests that the members of CRAVITY have become one. Also that they have found hope through finding stars in the cosmos; a place where they feel the happiest and most liberated. Overall, it’s a story that is completed by forming solidarity with the fans whom they were destined to meet.
Title Track: Adrenaline
Lead track “Adrenaline” blends four genres of funk, future house, trap, and moombahton; creating a fresh sound of nine members who are longing for freedom. This track compares one’s hopeful existence to “Adrenaline” and tells a story of “being addicted to you”. Furthermore, the music video portrays the free spirit of the members who have found hope in despair. This is showcased through a festival scene, where the boys can finally be free from the oppression of school and uniform. A blast of excitement, disordered dreams, and reality that the boys face during their growth are weaved together as a unique visual under the keyword “Adrenaline“.
Tracks in “Liberty: In Our Cosmos”
Consisting of 8 tracks; Rappers of the group, Serim and Allen, contributed to writing for “Adrenaline,” “POW!” and “Outro : In Our Cosmos“. Used as a metaphor, “Chandelier” is meant to portray the message that a bright future lies ahead of the members. The lyrics for “FLIP THE FRAME” convey the message of the members’ wish to explore the new world by breaking the rules. Literally flipping the frame. “Late Night” tells the story of spending valuable time with friends who cheer and support each other. While “Maybe Baby” emotes nerves and uncertainty one may feel during the early stages of love.
