Japanese Pop-R&B influenced band, DIOS, has announced the release of their latest single, ‘Bloom’. Taken off the band’s upcoming debut album, ‘Bloom’ is now all major digital streaming platforms.
Celebrating their 1 year anniversary with their last single, a heavy weight, foreboding tune, ‘紙飛行機 (Paper Plane)’ in March 2022, ‘Bloom’ starts with guitarist Ichika Nito’s nimble guitar introduction, and blends Sasanomaly’s signature style of blending sound design and music design. Together with Tanaka’s vocals, the results of this refreshing single is a burst of electronic pop, with thoughtfully written lyrics.
BLOOM
‘Bloom’ paints a picture of idealistic hope when a protagonist’s inner demons are still lurking somewhere in the far corners. The existing scars, while unfortunately cannot be rid of, serve as a reminder of looking at things in a different shade of tinted glasses.
DIOS’ upcoming debut album, ‘CASTLE’ is slated for release in June 2022, which will include past hit singles, ‘Darkroom’, ‘Theatre’ and ‘Runaway’. The band will also embark on a 5-city summer promotional and live concert tour in Japan. More information will be shared at a nearer date.
ABOUT DIOS
Formed in 2019, rising Japanese Pop-R&B influenced band DIOS is made up of a stellar feature of individual artists. This includes rapper, vocalist, and lyricist, Tanaka (formerly known as Boku no Lyric no Bōyomi), guitarist Ichika Nito who currently helms the crown for the best guitarist in Japan, and beatmaker and gaming music composer, Sasanomaly.
The name DIOS is derived from Dionysus, the God of euphoria and drunkenness in Greek mythology, as well as a character from vocalist, Tanaka’s favourite manga, ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’.
DIOS promises a deep-dive into a brand-new audiovisual experience — one that compliments all 3 band members’ individual sounds and music sensibilities, while creating a new expressive music palette that fits the dynamic and coherence that makes up the DIOS sound.
Having released 5 singles in the span of the past year, DIOS has had new-found success with a sold-out solo show, “DAWN: 1st Man Live”, as well as singles ‘Darkroom’ and ‘Theatre’ appointed as theme songs for television dramas, the Hulu Original “Future Century SHIBUYA” and “Upper and Lower Relationships” respectively. DIOS’ upcoming debut album is slated for release in May 2022, which will see the band embark on a 5-city promotional and live performance tour in Japan.
