The recent concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA on April 24th, 2024 proved to be an unforgettable experience for fans (Engene)! ENHYPEN treated everyone to a night of performances, heartfelt moments, and genuine connections. This was the start of their encore tour for “FATE” which was held previously in LA.
The popular boy group begin the concert with “Drunk-Dazed”. The dance break and performance of “Blockbuster” raised the volume in the arena. The performance of “Future Perfect” and “Blessed Cursed” was followed by a visually beautiful VCR. Scenes of the members reading, drawing, and having tea were shown after they were shown staring towards a bright light. Even though some may have seen this same VCR just last year, they were still in awe. The group, engaging with the audience, let them know just how much they had been missed since their last visit. They were last in Anaheim, CA during the Manifesto tour a year and a half ago. The energy was high as they performed fan-favorite hits. This including the much-anticipated “Still Monster,” setting the tone for an evening filled with excitement and emotion.
Throughout the night, the members went above and beyond to interact with their fans, whether it was kicking a football into the audience during “Tamed-Dashed” or sharing heartfelt words and gestures. They said they wished they could give more physical gifts before showering them with hearts and encouraging them to use their light sticks to join in the fun.
ENHYPEN Make Engene Feel Special
The concert took on a more intimate vibe during the acoustic performances, with Heesung showcasing his piano skills for “Just a Little Bit” and Jay strumming away on the guitar for “TFW”. These stripped-down renditions allowed for a deeper connection between the artists and their fans. They then had to get up close and personal in a memorable walk through the crowd during “Polaroid Love” and a delightful surprise featuring Pikachus during “One and Only.”
As the night progressed, the members took time to reflect on the significance of the venue. They reminisce about past experiences and sharing their dreams of renting out Disneyland for Engene and themselves. ENHYPEN had a special surprise for member Jay’s recent birthday celebration and a spontaneous dance party that ensued.
The Night Goes On
Following yet another costume change, ENHYPEN performed “Chaconne,” and “Bills” to hype the crowd. With their expert choreography, the group kept the audience on their toes and left them in amazement. ENHYPEN sang “Bite Me” after saying their goodbye. However, they were definitely not done yet.
The concert reached its emotional peak as the group bid their final farewells to the crowd, acknowledging that they were nearing the end of the night, though teasingly insisting that they were not quite finished yet. The moment before the final song served as a reminder of the bond shared between the artists and Engene. They came back out to sing their newest track “Sweet Venom”, as well as “Orange Flower” before their final track “Karma”. They were not quite satisfied yet as they decided to do one last track that wasn’t originally planned!
As attendees filed out of the venue, they knew they had just experienced something truly special—a night to remember for years to come. The tour is just beginning so make sure to catch them on tour!
