[HA ROOKIE SPOTLIGHT] MONSTA X

MONSTA X, a seven member boy group under Starship Entertainment. The talented members were all trainee’s under Starship Entertainment and participated in the survival show “No.Mercy” which led them to joining the group. They debuted on May 14, 2015 and performed the songs “No Exit” as well as, the song “Trespass” for their debut stage. They are currently promoting their song “Honestly” which is also off their first mini album. MONSTA X will also be performing overseas at KCON Los Angeles in August 2015.

Lets meet the members of MONSTA X!

Shownu‘s real name is Son Hyun Woo and was born on June 18, 1992. Shownu is the leader, one of the lead dancers and vocalist. The talented member was originally a JYP Entertainment trainee and was set to debut in GOT7 before moving companies and is now with Monsta X. Shownu was a back up dancer for D-Unit’s “Talk to My Face” and Lee Hyori’s “Bad Girl.”
Wonho‘s real name is Shin Ho Seok and he was born on March 1, 1993. He is one of the vocalist in the group and is known as the sexiest member. He is also a former Ulzzang and is known for his great body in the group. Former NU BOYZ leader. Wonho mentioned that he would like to appear on “Running Man” in the future.
Minhyuk was born on November 3, 1993 and his full name is Lee Min Hyuk. He is the face of the group and he is also a vocalist.
Kihyun‘s full name is Yoo Kihyun and his birthday is on November 22, 1993. During No.Mercy he was in a song titled “Pillow” with Soyou and Giriboy.
Hyungwon‘s real name is Chae Hyung Won and his birthday is January 15, 1994. He is one of the dancers and a vocalist in the group. He is the shy member in Monsta X but he is also a visual. Hyungwon wants to appear on “Weekly Idol” because he likes to dance.
Jooheon was born on October 6, 1994. His full name is Lee Joo Heon and he is the lead rapper of the group. He has a mixtape SuperXX which he collaborated with Aziatix’s Flowsik and MadClown. He also has a track with Hyorin and San E titled “Couch Me” which was released during the survival show, No.Mercy. Former NU BOYZ member.
I.M. is the youngest member in the group and was born on January 26, 1996. His full name is Lim Chang Kyun and he can speak English pretty well. He’s a former member of Nu’bility. He mentioned that he would like to appear on the show “We Got Married.”
