Thai artist, MILLI (Danupha Khanatheerakul) sat down with HypnoticAsia to answer questions about her music, experience and recent performances.
MILLI is a 19-year-old female solo rapper and singer from Thailand. As a participant in The Rapper 2, she was praised by the participating judges. Due to this, she later signed to YUPP!, a company centered around Thai rap artists. Furthermore, in February 2020, she rose to fame with her track, “Phak Kon” and has been releasing hit tracks ever since.
The young artist has many influences. She told us that artists like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The creator, Doja Cat, and Ariana Grande are artists who inspire and influence her as a performer.
MILLI Collaborations
MILLI started working with various artists and producers like F.Hero and Changbin of K-POP idol group, Stray Kids. In October 2021, they released the hit song, “Mirror Mirror” which garnered more attention from fans and the media.
Most recently, she had a duet with Jackson Wang (GOT7) entitled “Mind Games“. She also collaborated with the world idol for The Match-Bangkok Century Cup 2022. When asked about that experience, MILLI revealed, “It has good vibes that I can’t even find anywhere else to experience. Thank you, Jackson.”
We also asked MILLI who she’d be interested in collaborating with and she stated Soyeon from the South Korean girl group, (G)I-DLE. “She is very talented from what I’ve seen of her in reality,” MILLI exclaimed.
I do respect F.Hero as my father. I’m grateful that he gave me the opportunity to be a part of this amazing project because I’ve been a longtime fan of K-pop and this is a big step in my life.

Festivals – Coachella & Head In The Clouds 2022
The popular Thai rapper has been busy performing at various festivals in California. It all started with the 88Rising stage at Coachella this year. Many artists performed, including Jackson Wang, BIBI, NIKI, Rich Brian, among other notable artists. Of course, a big reunion by 2NE1 was highly talked about this year but a moment that many remember was MILLI on the Coachella stage.
She performed “Mango Sticky Rice” and actually had the Thai dessert with her on stage. This caused the sale of the Thai dish to soar in Thailand and in other countries. When we asked her what her reaction of this was, MILLI stated, “I am very excited and thank you so much for your interest”.
In preparation of her big California debut, the rapper and singer stated that she, “practiced as much as I could to get used to it and make sure there wouldn’t be any mistakes” and she proved that practice makes perfect!
This past weekend (August 20 & 21), MILLI returned to California, for the Head In The Clouds festival in Los Angeles! We asked her how she felt to be performing for her American fans again.
I’m so honored, excited, and nervous. I want to send positive energy and ensure that my performance is good enough for the audiences.

Furthermore, MILLI also states that she has an interest in touring North America and she’d like to “go everywhere” if she had the opportunity to.
Fast & Feel Love
Fast & Feel Love is a 2022 Thai Romantic Comedy film where MILLI made her acting debut. Despite only being a cameo in the Rom-Com, she mentions wanting to be an internationally recognized artist. HypnoticAsia asked if she now felt internationally recognized and she simply stated, “no. Not at all”.
As fans and viewers, we know she has come a long way and she is definitely internationally recognized with her appearance through big stages like Coachella and Head In The Clouds.
Wrapping Up
Wrapping up the interview, HypnoticAsia took the chance to ask MILLI if she had anything we can look forward to and she announced her first album is coming out in the near future! Stay tuned for that.
MILLI’s advice to up and coming artists is, “[i]f you still don’t like your music, how can you expect others to like your music”. This showcased her confidence and that is exactly why she puts out wonderful music.
Special message to her fans
I love you guys so much. If you don’t encourage and support me, I can’t be here. You can warn me if I do something wrong because we are family. Berb Boo💘
P.S. Berb Boo is a cute slang word in Thai, It means “LOVE YOU”
