Hyejin, a 19 year old Korean-American makes a comeback with her new single, “David Lee”.
Previously, Hyejin released her debut EP What A Shame! This garnered 2 million streams, and top 100 in both the Philippines and Thailand. The R&B singer-songwriter has now unleashed her newest single “David Lee” which features Korean-American artist, Hevel. Prior to her release of “David Lee”, she had dropped her track, “I’ve Seen This Move Before Pt.2”. That track featured both Aleebi and Kasper.
About “David Lee”
Her management reveals that “David Lee” is a term that references typical Korean-American boy who attends Sunday Service. Yet, even though he goes to church, he engages in unholy activities. So Hyejin talks about that in her newest single.
The new track features Hevel, a fellow Korean-American artist. He adds a witty perspective to the song with his lyrics. Both of their voices mesh well together to bring the song to life. “David Lee” is a song that “showcases a fresh, hip-hop driven aesthetic,” as described by her agency. The new single is also, “countered with lush, orchestral yet modern production from longtime collaborator, Lio”.

About Hyejin
Hyejin is a 19-year-old who is described as an Alt-R&B singer-songwriter, producer, and creative visionary from Seoul. She is currently based in New York City. A third culture kid who grew up moving between the East and West, Hyejin spent her formative years adapting to ever-changing environments, which cultivated her fixation on the only constant thing in her life: her love for writing. Inspired by the brutally honest songwriting of Amy Winehouse, SZA, and Valerie Simpson, Hyejin combines her anti-romantic, slightly pessimistic lyricism with sticky-sweet, dreamy melodies, embarking on an infectious blend of nostalgia that she calls, dream-soul.
