Dios recently returned with their new album ‘CASTLE’. ‘CASTLE’ tells a story of 12 chapters in a castle situated deep in the forest. Each single is created individually by exploring different genres and depicting different human emotions.
HypnoticAsia takes a deeper dive with DIOS about their latest album below!
Each song on your album is said to explore different genres. Can you describe the other genres that make up the remaining tracks?
We as members are consistent in what we each want to express in our music.
It was also significant that the three of us were able to share an image board for the album at the beginning. By sharing images and pictures rather than sounds, we were able to express the sound of the ‘CASTLE’ as each of us wanted it to sound, without blurring the concept.
Your album tracks comes together to tell a story! Tell us more about that and how you created it.
It started when Tanaka (vocals) produced an image board. The word ‘CASTLE’ was the name of an apartment in the neighbourhood, and we thought it had a really nice vibe/atmosphere. It’s like a ‘ CASTLE ‘ containing a lot of the scenery visuals, similar to what Dios originated from. When you access the music inside the ‘CASTLE’, you are connected to different worlds.
You told us in your previous interview that you are embarking on a tour. Now that you are already touring, how is it going? Any memorable stories?
We are very humbled by overwhelming response, and this inspires us to make more music for the upcoming months. Thank you so much for every one who has supported us!
Do you have any special plans to promote the album aside from touring?
Upcoming, we are planning to work on releasing both new original songs and remixes in our existing music catalog. Perhaps even some collaborations?
Does Dios have any plans in the future to promote the album globally? Maybe through a world tour? If so, what countries do you wish to visit?
Dios is still very new, but we have high hopes of touring out of Japan. Hopefully in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. We also hope that if we were to go on an overseas tour, we can meet new artists and be exposed to different cultures so that we can tell new stories to all of you.
