INTERVIEW WITH JUNE
Please introduce yourself to the HypnoticAsia readers.
Hello, my name is JUNE and I am a Korean singer-songwriter and composer. 🙂
How would you describe your music to new listeners?
Basically, it’s R&B based music that also mixes various genres of music.
Where does the inspiration and motivation for music come from?
My music is greatly affected by the weather. Since I was a child, the music I listen to changes a lot depending on the weather.
The mini tour is starting soon! What can fans expect from your performance?
The motto for my performances is to have a lot of fun and be dynamic. There may be times when it’s calm and moody, but I hope it will be an opportunity for everyone to have fun together!
If you get the chance, would you like to go on a world tour? If so, what country do you dream of visiting and performing in?
I think touring is one thing singers really want to do. Even though this is my second visit to the United States, it is a very exciting experience for me. If there are people in any country who want to find me in concert, I would like to perform my music for them on site!
Is there a genre or concept you’ve always wanted to try?
These days, I’m interested in House or Garage.
If you weren’t doing music, what do you believe you would do instead?
Um… I like baseball, so I’ve dreamed of becoming a baseball player. If that doesn’t come true, I’m also interested in becoming a sportscaster!
Is there an artist you want to work with? And why?
There is an artist named Musiq Soulchild, and I think he is the artist who told me what clothes are right for me. So I’d like the opportunity to work together one day.
What can we expect to see in the near future? Can you give us a teaser?
My single album will be released during the first week of October. Since I am releasing songs that can be perfectly enjoyed in concert, I think I will be able to perform it first during this US tour!!
What do you want to say to the fans who have supported you since your debut?
I’m really, really grateful to everyone who listens to my music. I told you this when I debuted, but I want to be an artist who leaves a certain feeling in the listener. Even if I don’t remain in your life for long, I hope one song will be remembered, and that song will definitely make you feel a certain way. My hope is to make music like this in any weather, music that you would want to hear at the end of your life. I will continue to work hard to create and perform a lot of music toward those goals. Thank you so much.
