The center of explosive activity was at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on June 11, 2024, where ITZY brought their “BORN TO BE” tour to Los Angeles. Renowned for their intense live shows and fascinating on-stage persona, ITZY gave their loyal MIDZYs an unforgettable evening.
A brief VCR introduction set the tone for the evening’s concert as the performance got underway soon after 8 PM. The live band started playing as the screen faded and the lights went down, giving the first beats to “Born To Be” a fuller, more vibrant sound. The group then moved into “Racer” and “Kidding Me!” with such ease, demonstrating their amazing dancing and captivating spirit.
Following these upbeat songs, ITZY took a moment to introduce themselves, welcome the Los Angeles audience, and mention that this was their third performance in the city. In order to highlight the special experience of a live performance with improved sound quality, they also introduced their live band. With a gleam in her eye, Ryujin hinted that the following song was a fan favorite before kicking off “Mr. Vampire,” “Swipe,” and a furious dance break that ended with “Wannabe.” Another VCR played as the members momentarily left the stage to change outfits and prepare for the next section.
Solo Performances
The separate stages showcased the unique artistic abilities of each member. Chaeryeong’s solo performance of “Mine” was a moving and visually stunning show. She danced between mirrors while wearing white clothing, resulting in a reflective moment.
During her solo, Ryujin sang a song she wrote called “Run Away,” which had a rocker flavor. Her performance, which had a teddy bear prop, was passionate and edgy, demonstrating her flexibility.
Yuna performed a stunning solo for her first solo title track solo, ending “Yet, But” with a confetti blast while seated in a diamond chair. There was no denying her charm and presence on stage.
Yeji, on the other hand, wowed the crowd with “Crown on My Head,” another song she wrote herself. Her powerful presence and amazing voice made a strong impression on the audience.
ITZY: The Performances Continue
The members added a theatrical twist to a second video break that followed the solos, in which they performed dramatic scenes of devastation and aerial transport. Later, they returned to the stage for “Untouchable,” “Gas Me Up,” and “Dynamite.” They shared some personal reflections and expressed their appreciation for the support as they spoke with the audience about their solo performances. The intensity ramped up again with “Psychic Lover,” “Don’t Give A What,” and “LOCO,” during which the dancers took center stage for a powerful break, followed by an impressive live band solo.
During “Not Shy,” “Cake,” and “Sneakers,” which marked the end of the main performance, ITZY engaged the audience in sincere banter, complimenting their vocal abilities and expressing how much they enjoyed the evening. At the conclusion of the performance, they made a suggestion and urged the crowd to applaud enthusiastically while they change backstage. The group ended with “Kill Shot” and “Escalator” before stylishly exiting the stage.
ITZY: Encore
Another iconic JYPE VCR with fans demonstrating their mastery of ITZY’s choreography plus an entertaining sing-along and speed-change portion. When ITZY returned for the encore, they watched a heartfelt film with picture messages from MIDZYs after performing “Love Is” and “Be In Love.” When Lia, who wasn’t on tour showed up on screen, the audience sent out a loud cheer. The clip prompted spectators to raise their banners, giving the event a memorable feel.
Following that, the group discussed their emotions during the tour as the live band played melancholic, gentle music. The night’s greatest celebration was when Yeji and Chaeryeong vowed to bring Lia along next time. With electrifying performances of “DALLA DALLA” and “Boys Like You,” the evening came to an end, leaving the audience feeling satisfied and anxious for more. The tour is still happening now!
