Jimmy Brown and Rovv have begun their first North American tour, fresh off the release of their latest EP “Like The First Time.” The duo, hailing from South Korea, are multi-hyphenated R&B artists; writing and producing their own music for their growing fan-base around the world. Their first stop was in Toronto on November 5th, 2023 at the Revival Event Venue.
Opening Acts: BNZA and melatonin boy
BNZA, one of the two upcoming Toronto-based artists that night, opened the show and immediately brought a surge of energy to the crowd. He performed his latest single “WHOS NEXT” as well as a few unreleased songs. melatonin boy was up next and gave us a taste of a few unreleased songs like “Glimpse of Us.” He continued to keep the energy up with a cover of “Seven” by BTS’ Jung Kook.
DJ Set by Jin. K
DJ and music producer Jin. K took the stage for a short but hyped set. He mixed various Korean and American hip-hop tracks along with EDM and K-pop like NewJeans. Jin. K showed off his turntable skills and maintained the crowd’s anticipation for what was yet to come.

Rovv was on fire as soon as he popped onto stage wearing a hood down low and rapping “23.” Fans were quick to pull out their phones as he revealed his face and continued into “Smokin’.” Rovv was accompanied by guitarist ampoff and Jin. K back at his DJ deck. The energy from both Rovv and the venue was infectious.
Jimmy Brown’s entrance was greeted with screams and cheers which grew louder as he asked “What’s good Toronto?” Jimmy wore all black everything, even black-rimmed sunglasses. The cool, suave vibes he exuded paired well when it came to serenading the crowd with “kiss my lips” and “steam.”
Rovv rejoined Jimmy on stage to perform their collaborated songs “ecstasy,” and the latest, “Like The First Time.” The connection between the duo and the audience was clear, as fans sang along, hands waving in the air, and their voices resonating throughout the venue.

Jimmy and Rovv asked to take a group photo with the venue, including Jin. K and ampoff. They expressed love and thank yous to their fans before lastly performing “Drip.” Throughout their performance up until they walked off stage, the boys provided lots of fan service like completing hand hearts and waving to everyone in the venue.
Jimmy Brown and Rovv’s first time in Toronto, Canada was a success and hopefully not the last. “Like The First Time” tour continues in many more cities!
