[K-Drama Review] Creating Destiny (2009-2010)

I really loved watching this drama. It’s a Romance and Family drama, which are the best Korean Drama’s out there. Many different relationships  in the drama, from family to their love. Great actors, great story, and fun to watch. Many dramas, even though they are great to watch, they are still exaggerated to where you feel it’s not something that would happen in real life, whereas this drama, it’s very believable and didn’t have anything to annoy me. Han Sang Eun[Eugene] moved to Australia when she was a child with her family. She then goes to America to study law. She comes back to Australia with her American boyfriend which her father strongly opposed too. Her family has their hopes set on her marrying a nice, Korean boy. Her father then makes a deal with her and makes her go to Korea to live for one year! Kim Yeo Joon [Ki Tae Young] is a doctor in Korea and lives with his family. When his friend says something at the hospital, people believe him to be gay and his parents to everything in their power to make him agree to marry Han Sang Eun and their relationship goes on from there!

Characters:

• Eugene as Han Sang Eun:

Han Sang Eun is the main girl in this drama. Korean-Australian Lawyer who was forced by her family to go to Korea to meet with Kim Yeo Joon.

• Ki Tae Young as Kim Yeo Joon

Kim Yeo Joon is the main guy in this drama. Korean Doctor(Surgeon) who is in his 30’s who has no interest in women since his first love left. Living with his family, he’s forced to meet Han Sang Eun and marry her.

• Lee Sung Min as Shim Hye Rim

Shim Hye Rim is a Model and the only daughter of the Shim family.  She has liked Kim Yeo Joon for a really long time, because he always helps her because she’s his best friends Step-sister.

• Jung Suk Won as Jung Kyu Han

Jung Kyu Han, Kim Yeo Joons best friend and Shim Hye Rim’s step brother has his eye out for Yeo Joon’s sister. He’s a Photographer and has always taken care of Yeo Joon’s noona(sister), Kim Yoon Hee and her daughter Jin Joo, becoming very close to the little girl.

• Kim Jung Nan as Kim Yoon Hee

Kim Yoon Hee works at her parents Rice Cake shop and is a single mother of her daughter Jin Joo. She has never been married and never thought about marriage since her first love left her 6 years before.

• Byun Woo Min as Kang Hae Sung

Kang Hae Sung is the head of his fathers company and is very wealthy. He left his first love 6 years ago to marry the woman his father wanted him too and moved to America. He then comes back to Korea 6 years later to meet up with his first love only to find out he has a 6 year old daughter. He then tries his best to bring his family back together with the help of his little brother taking care of the company in his place.

• Ryu Sang Wook as Kang Se Won

Kang Se won, the younger brother of Kang Hae Sung meets Han Sang Eun at the airport when she first comes to Korea, they start off on bad terms. Then they get in an accident which causes them to meet again, and Kang Se Won realizing they were classmates in elementary school before she left for Australia and from there becoming her boss at work and also falls for her.

• Kang Byul as Han Hyo Eun

Han Hyo Eun is Han Sang Euns younger sister who was forced to go to Korea when her whole family decides to move back with Han Sang Eun. From there she meets a doctor who is Kim Yeo Joon’s junior. They’re relationship also starts off on bad terms but later they start dating.

• Baek Jong Min as Min Chul Ho

Min Chul Ho, Kim Yeo Joon’s Junior at work brings laughter to the drama by his character acting like a dumb doctor.  He falls for Han Sang Eun’s sister Han Hyo Eun, and they start dating. Also, you find out something at the end of the drama which causes more laughter and a big surprise to Kim Yeo Joon.
