Convention and KLUB KCON Tickets Now On-Sale with Additional Concert Tickets Being Released July 12
LOS ANGELES, CA – July 12, 2016 – KCON 2016 USA Presented by Toyota revealed today that Amber – known also as member of the K-pop group f(x) – and Eric Nam will join the KCON LA concert line-up. Amber will perform on Saturday (7/30) with Eric Nam joining the Sunday (7/31) concert. Amber is also set to appear Friday night (7/29) at KLUB KCON, a night of K-pop music and dancing taking place at Club Novo, part of LA Live, as a special guest.
Tickets are now on sale for both the three day convention portion of KCON 2016 LA, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and KLUB KCON. The convention will consist of three full days of panels, workshops, performances, booths and more, with over 150 local merchants and businesses participating. Here, attendees can find booths representing various aspects of Korean culture including music, television and film, fashion, beauty and more.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, KCON USA is the world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival. KCON NY returned to the Prudential Center last month and saw the number of attendees triple. KCON LA kicks off a month later and takes place July 29-31 at the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center. Additional tickets to the concert portion of KCON will be released on July 12 at 10am PST. Prices range from $50 to $250 for single tickets and $800 for platinum ticket that offers access to all concerts and the convention.
- Amber is an American rapper and singer who first debuted in 2009 as a member of S.M. Entertainment’s girl group f(x). In 2015 she debuted as a solo artist with the release of her EP, Beautiful with the title track “Shake That Brass” featuring Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon. Beautiful debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 19 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, proving her immense popularity and international fan base as a solo artist. In 2016, Amber’s single “Borders,” which was composed based on her personal experience, showcased a powerful message to listeners everywhere to not give up on themselves, ever. She later released two singles “On My Own” and “Need to Feel Needed” which were also based on her personal experiences of finding hope in the midst of hardship.
- Eric Nam is a Korean-American Singer and Television Host. First discovered on YouTube, Eric Nam competed his way into the Top 5 in the audition program “Birth of a Great Star 2.” He has since released multiple singles, as well as two extended play albums – with the most recent being released in March 2016 titled “Interview.” In addition to his career in music, he continues to host and appear in various television programs such as “We Got Married,” “Father and I” and “SNL Korea.”
