Kinami’s debut single, “Blue Sapphire“ has accumulated over 19,000 TikTok video creations and a song placement in over 17,000 convenience stores in Japan. Her fanbase is growing rapidly stirring attention from the BTS fans on TikTok and the Japanese independent artist scene.

Produced by Latin Grammy Nominee Producer Rodrigo Martins, and written by Kinami Nakaza, the R&B/soul track in form of indie-pop taps into rage, betrayal, and heartbreak of finding out about the “other woman” in a committed relationship.
“Who” will be the fourth single of a five-song EP releasing this Spring. Followed up immediately with a release tour in Japan, her anticipation to solidify a fan base in Asia is a no-brainer.
Originally from Okinawa, Japan, Kinami’s bilingual upbringing has fused musical repertoires from Okinawan, Japanese and American culture. Influenced by 80’s American and European pop, J-Pop, and Okinawan Minyo from a young age, her wide range of cultural exposure has birthed colors of catchy hooks, seasoned melodies, and honest lyrics.

As a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, she aims to reconstruct Japanese entertainment stereotypes for a global audience.
