Kollaboration Acoustic 4 Recap

On the 27th of August, Kollaboration Acoustic 4 was held at the Ford Amphitheater in Los Angeles, California.  Kollaboration staff invited HypnoticAsia to cover the show. We had a blast with such an amazing line up. All the contestants were really great on stage and all stood out with their own unique voices. The contestants included Lily Bee, Dawen, Hippie Hippie Hoorah, Flowethics, Esna Yoon, Alex & Jackie, Johnny Le and Iris Leonardo, Peony, Sorah Yang & Brian Fang, MissCarolineXOXO, and Justis Kao. Also, guest judges included Big Phony, Travis Wang, Tinsey Korey, and Marie Digby.

Marie Digby was also a special performer along with ChannelPKTown. PK is the founder of Kollaboration, now handing it over to Roy Choi to focus on his dream of becoming a comedian.

There was also a vocal competition , where the top 4 will compete on stage. Megan Lee, who competed in Kollaboration Acoustic 3 and has competed in the vocal competition a few times since then, 14 year old Megan won this year, and showed off her amazing singing abilities on stage, surprising the crowed with not only her powerful vocals but great stage presence.

After all the amazing contestants performed and showed off their talent, the judges finalized their pick of the night. All the artists and Kollaboration staff came onto the stage and Roy Choi announced Dawen as the winner of Kollaboration Acoustic 4! CONGRATS DAWEN!

After they announced Dawen as winner, all the contestants sang their cover of “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire.
