Kroi Returns with “Unspoiled”

In their latest album “Unspoiled,” Kroi remains true to their core genres like funk and soul, while incorporating sounds with a foreign flair. The album also includes various pop tracks that served as anime opening themes, enhancing the excitement of those series,making “Unspoiled” a highly experimental work. The album features three already-released singles—”Hyper” (opening theme for the anime “Under Ninja“), “Sesame” (opening for “Bucchigiri?!”), and “Water Carrier” (theme for Akira Toriyama’s anime “SAND LAND: THE SERIES“). Each of these singles serves as anime opening themes and shines with catchy choruses and dynamic rap parts, helping Kroi gain notable attention both in Japan and internationally.

Additionally, the album features other special songs: “Green Flash,” with its music video set to release on June 22, “GAS” and “Meimetsu” recorded in Los Angeles at Westlake Recording Studios and Larrabee Sound Studios, and “Amber,” which was chosen for a
commercial by the Japanese beverage company DyDo.

This album, rich with a variety of new songs, showcases Kroi’s ability to offer fresh values to listeners, embodying the essence of their endeavors. Kroi made their North America debut at SXSW 2024 in March, continuing to excite audiences with their deeply rooted influences in Western music. This album is a vibrant showcase of their journey through Japan’s dynamic music scene, inviting listeners to get up and groove to its rhythms.

In addition, this album not only includes the CD but also features a special bonus: a live video from their January 2024 performance at the Nippon Budokan, which drew an audience of about 10,000 people. About Kroi

Kroi is a five-piece band that blends a variety of music styles, including R&B / Funk /Soul / Rock / Hip-Hop. The members are Leo Uchida (Vo.), Yuki Hasebe (Gt.), Masanori Seki (Ba.), Hidetomo Masuda (Drs.), and Daiki Chiba (Key.). Kroi was formed February 2018 and made their major debut in June 2021. Debuted with their first album, “LENS,”followed by their second album “Telegraph” in 2022. In January 2024, they performed their first solo concert at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo to a sold-out crowd. In addition to their music projects, each member engages in a variety of other artistic projects,including modeling and designing, and remains active in various cultural scenes.
