The Asian American Expo is back again at Fairplex for the 2015 Lunar New Year. As the largest Lunar New Year celebration in America, the 2015 Asian American Expo, celebrating its 34th year on Saturday, January 17th, back with new music extravaganza “Lunar Palooza” headlined by Lydia Paek of YG Entertainment (Korea).
(GREATER LOS ANGELES – January 5th, 2015) Since 1982, the Asian American Expo has served as a local community event to share a cultural heritage and to promote a better understanding of 100,000+ attendees from different backgrounds through a celebration of the Lunar New Year. This year’s event is guaranteed to be even bigger and more expansive than last year’s showing, featuring more than 1,000 vendor booths in five large exhibition halls, and three unique food courts hosting more than 180 food vendors, and eight non-stop performance stages.
Presenting the first ever Lunar Palooza – a night time musical festival extravaganza, this event will take place in two exposition halls and on two performing stages. Highlighting the outdoor concert stage is a diverse lineup featuring Lydia Paek from YG Entertainment, Jason Chen, Yultron, Nylon Pink, NomTom & MeeToo, Meeghan Henry and rapper Tha One. Inside the Doraemon themed festival hall; DJ Peter Rocks, DJ Greg Hignight, DJ Del Martin will be remixing beats all night long.
Don’t forget the food – Lunar Palooza features an eclectic mix of local and global food selections. This year’s event features over 180 food vendors ranging from global food brands such as Olive Garden to unique delicacies like the Ramen Burger to everyone’s favorite Chinese lamb skewers. Seoul Sausage, winner from the Great Food Truck Race will be headlining a group of notable food trucks that also includes: the Lime Truck, Chancho’s Tacos, Street Kitchen, Streets of Thailand, Tokyo Doggie, OC Calbi Taco and Fluff Ice. Come for the music, stay for the food, enjoy the diverse selection of evening entertainment.
