[Music Is My Therapy] Episode 10 ft. Leo Xia

It’s the 10th episode and for this one, we have an amazing artist featured!

Many of you might remember Leo Xia’s name from Jason Chu’s episode (episode 2) where Leo is featured on the song “Mood”. Now, singer and songwriter, Leo Xia is up for Music Is My Therapy and he performs a live acoustic version of his track “Tether.”

The official music video was officially released on January 8th, 2019. He reveals that the track was written for his grandparents after his grandmothers passing.

Leo says,

During Qing Ming Jie, a holiday where we honor our ancestors, I was on a WeChat call with my family to remember my grandmother and everything she did for our family. I saw my mom cry. I saw my uncles and aunts cry. And I saw my grandfather cry. I had written this song from my grandfather’s perspective on losing my grandmother. But I hadn’t seen his pain in person. It was all hypothetical until I saw him cry. I felt his pain deeply even through the grainy video call. This is dedicated to my grandma and grandpa. May your love for each other last forever.
