A new paradigm of K-POP, ‘Performance-Idol’ MVP
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 19, 2017) — Korea’s new 7-member rookie idol group, MVP (Kang Han, Rayoon, Gi Taek, P.K, Jin, Been, Sion), has shaken the K-POP world.
Aiming to be K-POP’s ‘Most Valuable Player’, MVP made their sensational debut starting with a showcase on March 13th followed by various music shows.
MVP’s ‘1st Mini Album [MANIFEST]’ was completed after a long period of time filled with tireless energy and perseverance, and as the title of the album suggests, MVP was finally revealed to the world.
The group’s debut album [MANIFEST] consists of title song ‘선택해 (TAKE IT)’, ‘MANIFEST(INTRO)’, ‘눈물뚝 (DON’T CRY)’, ‘끝까지 들어 (HEAR ME OUT), ‘자기전에 전화해 (LATE NIGHT CALL)’ and the instrumental versions of ‘선택해 (TAKE IT)’ and ‘끝까지 들어 (HEAR ME OUT)’, making it a mini album with a total of 7 tracks.
‘MANIFEST (INTRO)’ is a dance version track which differentiates itself from the typical intro to appropriately describe MVP as a performance idol group. Combining aspects of eastern martial arts and western b-boying into the choreography, MVP was truly able to show their own unique colors.
MVP’s title track ‘선택해 (TAKE IT)’ fuses the Glitch Hop genre with a K-POP style to produce a funky beat and glitchy lead sound mixed with powerful raps and vocals and charismatic performances.
Making appearances on music shows including ‘THE SHOW’, ‘Show Champion’ and ‘M Countdown’ with performances of their intro and title track ‘선택해 (TAKE IT)’, MVP is walking the path of 2017’s leading idol group.
As the group has been showing its best performances day in and day out, MVP will actively continue with their broadcasting schedule starting on March 21st.
