On October 11th, 2024, NIKI brought her Buzz World Tour to Los Angeles. NIKI delivers an intimate and engaging performance at The Greek Theater. The night began with openers That Band Honey and Allison Ponthier. This sets the stage for an evening filled with personal and reflective music.
NIKI Kicks Off The Show
The show begins with a short intro of “Buzz” before NIKI walks out onto the stage. With her guitar in hand, she is ready to perform the first song of the night, “Too Much Of A Good Thing”. NIKI keeps the crowd on their feet as they sing along to emotional ballads like “Colossal” and “Loss”. They even sing along to the upbeat track, “Backburner”. NIKI finally takes a break to welcome the audience to the Buzz World Tour. A medley of “lowkey” and “Autumn” surprises fans. Also, “Magnets” is a song that keeps the audience engaged. With a diverse setlist mixing her old and new music together with songs like “Strong Girl” and “Blue Moon.”
Cover Time!
In a nostalgic moment, NIKI covered Katy Perry’s ‘The One That Got Away,’ creating a shared and special experience as the crowd sang along.
Midway through the set, NIKI slowed things down with acoustic versions of some of her most emotional songs. She began with a stripped-down version of “Did You Like Her In The Morning?,” telling the crowd ‘this is the venue I was thinking of when I wrote this one, I’m going to remember this forever. She then moved into “Take Care” and “La La Lost You” which allowed her lyrics to take center stage as she asked the crowd to sing this one with her as loud as they could. This was one of her first hit songs resonating with her fans. She also introduced “24” as her most personal song, describing it as a love letter to Los Angeles, a story of the past five years growing up and learning what it takes to be here in the city.
Reflecting on her earlier work, NIKI performed “Oceans & Engines,” “Heirloom Pain” with a beautiful transition into “Before,”and a powerful live version of “Nothing Can” featuring a guitar rock out session with her live band.
While the night was coming to a close, NIKI wanted to get the crowd jumping one last time. Performing “High School in Jakarta,” “Tsunami,” and “Buzz,” fans were dancing and singing along under the night sky, a buzz worthy ending indeed.
The End
NIKI’s performance at The Greek Theatre showcased her musical and self growth and her ability to deeply connect with her audience, offering a well-rounded experience that highlighted her presence as an artist representing Southeast Asia on a global stage.
