On September 1st, 2024, at The Vermont Hollywood, ONF triumphantly returned to the American stage with a performance that was both energetic and nostalgic. The group’s much-anticipated concert was greeted with great enthusiasm from its loyal fans, setting the stage for an exciting evening. This was the first time in LA since they filmed their music video for the song “Complete” nearly six or seven years.
The Final Stop Begins
The performance began with the stirring song “New World,” which instantly created a memorable atmosphere. After that, they moved into the crowd-favorite “Ugly Dance,” which included their trademark fusion of energetic dance and catchy music. With favorites like “Gucci,” the group kept getting better as the evening went on. They then took time to introduce themselves. A stirring touch was given to the show when ONF reveal that they had a particular connection to the city—they had recorded their “Complete” music video there.
Lively interactions between the artists and the crowd filled the concert. The group’s discussion about their visits to local restaurants like In-N-Out, Wendy’s, and several outlet stores was one of the highlights. They conveyed their appreciation for the staff’s compassion, highlighting in particular how accommodating they were when they went shopping. The group also suggested other must-see locations in Korea, such as Seoul Forest, an ideal location for a leisurely stroll. Also, Yeouido, with its magnificent Hyundai mall and close proximity to KBS Music Bank.
After performing “Sukhumvit Swimming” and “Asteroid,” ONF engaged in additional fan engagement. One particularly memorable scene was when Wyatt and Minkyun engaged in a contest to see who can entice the fans to yell their name the loudest. This ended with Wyatt hilariously losing the having to pull up his shirt, much to the audience’s enjoyment.
The group’s setlist had the ideal balance of energetic songs and more emotional ballads, such as “My Song”. They asked the audience not to yell, only to quickly rescind that request in amusement. Their performances of “Moscow Moscow,” and “Breath, Haze & Shadow” were astounding. They maintained a high level of enthusiasm throughout the whole show.
With expertly crafted VCR pieces that complemented the band’s storytelling element, the concert was also a visual pleasure. ONF expressed their happiness at being able to perform “Bye My Monster” and “We Must Love” simultaneously due to their thematic intertwining.
Encore
Towards the end of the evening, ONF gave a stirring encore that included the heartfelt songs “Your Song” and “Complete.” Everyone in attendance was greatly impacted by the group’s performance, which demonstrated a strong connection with the audience. The ONF concert at The Vermont Hollywood was a special evening. This group made for an amazing evening full of music and laughter by showcasing not just their amazing skill but also their true connection with fans.
