Taiwanese drama Hi My Sweetheart co-stars Show Luo and Rainie Yang snagged the ‘Most Popular Male Singer’ and ‘Most Popular Female Singer’, for the second year running, at HITO Radio Music Awards 2014. The annual awards ceremony was held at Taipei Arena on Sunday (Jun 1).
While performing the song ‘Courage is Great’, Rainie attracted attention with her dress that showed off a plunging neckline. During a backstage interview, the songbird admitted that bra pads were used to upgrade her cup size from B to C.
‘Actually, choosing the right bra is very important! Many people were making fun of me just now. Qing Feng (from Sodagreen) even told me to be careful not to ‘spill my breasts’!’ she laughed.
Show, who also won ‘HITO King of Champion’ and ‘Top 10 Mandarin Song of the Year’, was seen ‘having a reaction’ in his lower body while hugging his female fans on stage. While his manager explained that it was the cutting of his pants which gave the wrong impression, the singer awkwardly replied: ‘I felt very high to receive the awards, so my body got excited too!’
At the same time, Singapore singer JJ Lin and Taiwanese songstress Hebe Tien took home the ‘Best Male Singer’ and ‘Best Female Singer’ trophies that night. When asked if he is confident of repeating his victory at the upcoming Golden Melody Awards, JJ said that he would take it in his stride as the award is dependent on the judges’ preference.
‘But I’ve prepared for this [moment] for 10 years. We’ll see how it goes!’ he added.
