What else is there to do on a Sunday night in LA? Well for this crowd, on March 26th, 2023, they decided to head to 1720 to see Justin Park, G2, Junoflo and Year of the Ox took the stage to perform together for the first time ever.
5A Label and Blended Group brought together the talented bunch for a one-night, one-city show in Los Angeles. A concert that literally highlighted each and every artist performing at this event. This was a night that represented culture, music, and good vibes. While only four names were announced for the show, they invited their talented fellow artists to join them on stage.
Artists like Ted Park, Sangstaa, Planet Love Tour, Zane Taylor, and more came through. Not only them, but DJ ZO, MSTR RCKS and DJ DWOO were present and DJing throughout the event.
G2 Kicks Off The Night
The night officially started off with rapper G2 (or GTWO) who performed several of his own tracks. He interacted well with the audience and thanked everyone for showing up and showing love. He asked for the light crew to turn down the lights during his set and it was pretty dark for many of his songs but it matched his vibe well.
G2 promoted his own art on stage and even had several pieces for sale at the venue(see below). He revealed just how talented he is in both music and art. He ended his set with a collaboration with the next artist on the lineup, Junoflo!
Junoflo Hyped The Crowd
As Junoflo ended his collaboration with G2, he made sure the crowd cheered for the artist before moving on to introducing himself. He began his set with many of his own tracks including “Onyx”, “Real Ones”, and “Hunned%”. The artist also performed a few of his new songs and revealed that he’ll be taking a break from live performances to focus on making new music.
Junoflo also brought to stage rapper and producer, Sangstaa who performed a track with him. He kept the audience hyped at a level 10 for his entire set before leaving the stage and making way for the next artist to perform.
Justin Park Is Joined By Talented Friends
Justin Park was up next and he had everyone cheering loudly throughout his entire set. With more features and collaborations than the other featured artists, he didn’t disappoint. He performed “Shady” and “On The Low” with his special featured dancers Ellen Kim, Laura Mizuno, Jonny, and more. It was great to see Justin dancing alongside the talented crew. Before performing “On The Low” he joked that he would sing “Butter” by BTS but he really just thanked Jungkook of BTS for recommending his song.
There were many more collaboration stages which included Planet Love Tour and label mate Zane Taylor performing “Sunset Years”. Of course, he performed “Adore You, Dior You” with Ted Park. If you thought his set was complete with just those, think again! The artist showcased his own version of “Glimpse Of Us” originally by Joji and Nelly’s “Dilemma”.
Regardless of the constant sound issue at the venue, Justin was completely professional and put on an amazing show. If you’re a fan of Justin then you know he has many amazing tracks. Wouldn’t you love to see Justin perform at his own full concert one day? We do!
Year of the Ox Complete The Lineup
It was time for the last featured artist to jump on stage. Year of the Ox prove their popularity as many fans got closer to the stage and screamed extra loud for the rap duo! While they had mic issues for several minutes, they overcame that and were able to successfully complete their set.
They performed many fan favorites and member Jaeyoung was able to perform his solo.
And everyone knows it’s not a show without water being sprayed on the audience (regardless of how cold it was outside). But it was hot in the venue so this cooled us down. I know this because I was hit with half a bottle… glad my camera was okay after getting soaked, LYRICKS (lol)!
Wrapping Up The Show
Everyone came back on stage to perform their most recent collaboration tracks that were released a couple of days before the event. Together they performed “Dale Denton” and “Gold Rocky” which is apparently just the start of a collaboration project. Can’t wait to see what else these artists have coming up!
