On June 26th, 2022, South Korean boy group, Golden Child made their stop in Los Angeles, California for their “Play” Meet & Live tour. The young idols showcased their incredible talent at the Teragram Ballroom in LA. The venue was packed with their fans (Goldeness) holding their bowling pin shaped lightstick.
The boy group had previously announced that Daeyeol will be missing the tour due to his mandatory military service. The company also revealed the Tag was unable to participate due to health concerns. Actually, after the LA stop had concluded, the agency revealed that Tag was cleared to rejoin the group when they return to Korea from their U.S. tour. The good news must have been a relief to many fans who missed him.
Golden Child Begin Their Concert
The concert started at approximately 7:00 PM with a VCR that introduced the members. The fans were happy to see that both Daeyeol and Tag participated in the spots as they cheered extra loud for them.
Golden Child emerged on the stage and began their concert with three hit tracks, “Ra Pam Pam”, “Burn It”, and “That Guy”. Jangjun, Joochan, Bomin, Y, Jaehyun, Jibeom, Seungmin, and Donghyun introduced themselves to the crowd and were instantly greeted by cheers from their Goldness. They talked about how happy they were to be back in LA. The last time they performed in the City of Angels was for KCON LA before the pandemic.
Throughout the Meet & Live, they performed many songs like, “Pump It Up”, “Oasis”, “Sea” and “Breathe”. They even performed a remix of three popular title tracks, “One”, “Wannabe”, and “Without You”.
Interacting with Fans
During the event, the members made sure to interact with their fans. Some posed for photos while others took their phones and sang to it. Each member talked to fans about what they have been up to like musicals and such. They even sang some parts of their musicals as well as, covers of their favorite songs.
Ji Beom sang “Lost Stars” by Adam Levine while Jaehyun sang “Baby” by Justin Bieber. Jaehyun said that this song was extremely popular when he was studying abroad in America. He also mentioned that his friend (who is like a big brother) that took care of him while staying in America was present.
The encore consisted of “Damdadi”, and “Milky Way”.
While this was only the second stop on the tour, the boys said that the energy in Los Angeles was unbeatable. As always, LA fans cheered for every member (even those who weren’t present). Golden Child were happy as they left the stage; ending the concert on a great note.
