Debuting in 2019 under ZB Label, AleXa has released many singles and competed in multiple shows; in South Korea and the U.S.
After 3 years, she finally held her first headline tour! On October 30th, 2022 at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, CA, an audience of fans and friends filled the venue. She started the show with two of her strong dance tracks “AI Trooper” and “Bomb” before introducing herself to the audience. AleXa commented on the cute outfits and costumes worn by many in the audience members as the show was held during Halloween weekend. She even mentioned how hot it is in California which she forgot about since Korea and most of the other tour stops were cold and chilly. All throughout the show, she made sure to keep the crowd engaged with lighthearted banter.
AleXa Performs Unreleased Songs
If you are an active follower of AleXa, then you may know she is making a comeback with new music very soon. The artist has already began teasing via her label’s YouTube channel. So at her LA show, she performed a few unreleased songs, including her favorite, “Endorphin”. AleXa revealed that she loved performing this song for her fans.
Superstar Balcony
When attending K-POP events in LA, often times there is one or two artists in the crowd supporting the performer. But AleXa was a little different. She had a star studded balcony full of artists and producers. To name a few, Fly To The Sky’s very own Brian Joo was in town; idol turned independent artist – eaJ (Jae Park); Vanessa Jefferson, who is a writer and well-known for being Lizzo’s sister. While we only named a few, there were many dancers, influencers, producers and more attending LA’s stop.
A Moment of Silence by AleXa
Halfway through her concert, AleXa took to the stage to give her thoughts, prayers and condolences to the victims of the Itaewon Tragedy that took place on Halloween in South Korea. There was a moment of silence where the lights dimmed, and everyone bowed their heads.
Concert Continues
Once the moment was over, she thanked everyone and walked off the stage to change her outfit while a VCR played in her place. The video showed parts of her tour that she narrated.
AleXa returned with a new outfit which was pink and black; continued the event with her song, “Kitty Run”. She also performed her track, “Obsession” which was co-written with Vanessa Jefferson who was in attendance. If you looked up, you’d see Vanessa singing and dancing along to the song.
It was soon time for her audience to sing along as the artist covered “Woman” by Doja Cat. Again, looking at the balcony, the artists were having a good time but one particular artist was jamming and dancing along. It was none other than eaJ!
A Geometry Lesson By AleXa
The performer gave a quick geometry lesson while teaching everyone the point dance for her hit track “Tattoo”.
Unlike other artists, AleXa appreciated and acknowledged the various lightsticks the fans held at the concert. From Dreamcatcher, to Stray Kids, to VAV, she was happy to see them all but she was happiest when many held up her very own lightstick.
Halloween & Cosplaying
Another unique part of her show was that she held a costume contest for Halloween. She was definitely excited as she revealed she was a cosplayer in the past and had fun choosing the winners. AleXa choose two pairs of winners to take pictures with her; a “Squid Game” couple and a “Howl’s Moving Castle” couple.
The Tour Comes To An End
Towards the end of the concert, she introduced her dancers and thanked the crowd for coming. She presented the fan song “Moon and Back” which also included an event where fans held up banners. The final track performed was “Wonderland” which she had competed with and performed on the show “American Song Contest” (& was announced the winner). LA officially marked the end of AleXa’s tour.
