12-Member South Korean girl group, Loona, made their first stop on their tour [LOONATHEWORLD] in Los Angeles, California. The last time the group was here was for KCON USA in 2019.
Loona at The Wiltern
On August 1st, 2022 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Loona’s fans, Orbit, waited in line to get into the venue. The line wrapped around the entire block and proved the popularity of this K-POP girl group at a single glance. Once inside of the venue, anyone can see how packed it was and standing room became limited.
August is a special month for the ladies as this is their debut month. They debuted in August 2018 and even though they were active prior to that in multiple sub-units, they showcased their popularity as a whole group.
Due to technical difficulties, the concert started a little past the promised time. The Loona members later revealed it was due to their new microphones for the tour. Yet, that didn’t stop their fans from singing along to the music being played before the official start of the concert.
LOONATHEWORLD Time!
Once the lights dimmed, the fans were ready for Loona as they came out and started with a dance intro to “#” off of their album [#] before jumping into “So What” off of the same album. The members wore gorgeous white outfits for the start of the concert.
After a quick chat with fans, the members moved on and performed their B-side track “Heat”, followed by the track “Star”.
Loona performed many of their tracks, such as, their latest “Flip That”, their debut track “Hi High“, and even B-Side track “Dance On My Own”. Since the group has 12 members, they’re known to also promote as sub-units so fans were experience those unit stages as well; including an English version of “Loonatic”!
For fans going to other stops of the tour, be sure to look out for Loona’s Got Talent during the concert! Unfortunately member Chuu was unable to attend due to her busy schedule in Korea so hopefully they’ll come back with another that includes all members!
