With the return of Jacob, the members of VAV are back in the US for another tour! The first stop of the VAV Grand America Tour hosted by Studio PAV is San Francisco, California which was held at the Fort Mason Cowell Theater located right on the pier.
The venue was a bit smaller than what fans are used to, but the concert was intimate and sweeter since it was Valentines day! The group showcased many sides of themselves through multiple stages. The sexy side, the sweet side, the romantic side and the dorky side which was showcased by bringing their fans on stage.
They performed about 15 of their most popular tracks as well as tracks VAMPZ have never seen in North America. They began their concert with “Poison,” “119,” and “Venus.” They then had a short MENT where they introduced themselves and welcomed everyone to their grand tour. VAV proceeded to perform “Thrilla Killa,” “Gorgeous,” and “Touch You” which the members hyped up the fans by taking selcas (selfies) and videos with fans’ phones.
Soon after, it was game time! They brought 7 fans on stage to play “Tell Me Your Wish” which consisted of the fans choosing a paper with a wish written on it.
Tell Me Your Wish:
- Wish One: Dance with a member of VAV – the fan chose Baron while Ziu beatboxed. Baron made sure the dance was sexy!
- Wish Two: One and only video – the fan was able to record the group giving her messages on her phone.
- Wish Three: Eye contact for 30 seconds – the fan chose Lou (MC for this section due to having fantastic English!)
- Wish Four: Selfie with a member – Fan again chose Lou but Baron photo-bombed and made it more fun!
- Wish Five: Act cute (Aegyo) – Fan chose Ziu for this and he really went all out causing everyone to laugh. The fan fell over after this due to being nervous and all the boys fell over with her (such gentlemen!)
- Wish Six: Proposal/serenade – Fan picked Baron who sang to her on one knee. He sang a small verse of “Painkiller” by Ruel.
- Wish Seven: Short morning call – Ziu was chosen again and he recorded a short morning call before all the members gave her a group hug (although St. Van didn’t get the memo and was left out).
After the game was done, they were back to performing with their tracks “Senorita,” “Give Me More,” and the newly choreographed track (by Ayno), “Runway.”
They continued the concert with “Spotlight” and of course, a favorite of many, “She’s Mine.” VAV soon introduced a new track written by Lou in English for their global fans called “You Taught Me Love.” This was a beautiful ballad that had VAMPZ really feeling the Valentines love. The lyrics were on the screen so their fans could follow along.
A group photo with fans was than taken and a video was recorded saying “WE LOVE SAN FRANCISCO, WE LOVE VAV.”
They ended the concert with their promises to return to the states and performed “Give It To Me” as well as “Sweetheart.”
Their encore consisted of “Poison” again and Baron jumped down into the crowd. This concert really showed that the boys have been practicing their English for their global fans as much of their MENTs and comments were in English.
VAV will make a few more stops in North America before moving their tour to Latin America for a short while. In April, VAV will return to begin their second leg of the North American stops, starting yet again in California. This time, in Los Angeles!
Be sure to get your tickets for the tour!
