SM Entertainment has revealed that Jessica is indeed leaving the group.
Earlier today, Jessica revealed that she was forced out of the group, SNSD. Now, SM Entertainment has addressed that Jessica previously stated she would halt activities as SNSD to maintain her personal fashion brand after releasing one more album in Spring.
It has also been announced that SM Entertainment tried to figure out a way for SNSD activities to continue in the best direction. Regarding the conflict of differences in priorities and interest, Jessica went ahead and started her fashion business and due to this, it was to the point that the team could not be maintained.
The agency also stated that there was no choice but to pull SNSD’s activities as 8 members earlier than originally planned and while the company was currently working to announce this, Jessica went ahead and posted her thoughts on Weibo.
SM Entertainment says they will continue to support SNSD as 8 members and Jessica’s individual activities.
As this statement is now released, Jessica is not leaving SM Entertainment, but will be leaving the group, SNSD.
