Boy group, VAV, make their comeback to the United States for their latest tour. The South Korean boy group, VAV, finally performed “Designer” for their U.S. fans. On their tour, they made their stop in Los Angeles at the venue, Avalon Hollywood on January 21st, 2024.
Studio PAV is known for using the Avalon Hollywood quite often for their tour stops in Los Angeles. The fans were all let in after the fan engagements and they were very excited to see the members after a long break. The VAV members were not able to hold their LA stop in 2020 due to COVID-19 Shutdowns. Now, years later, VAV have completed their military enlistments and regrouped. This show was very special to VAMPS in Los Angeles.
VAV Perform Newest Track, Designer
VAV begin their concert on time and perform their most recent song “Designer”. The fans sang along and the members were energized. They also performed “I’m Sorry” along with “Thrilla Killa” before taking a breather and talking with fans.
The group introduce themselves one by one and mention that this is the last stop of their U.S. tour. The Designer group wanted to start the show with their sexy and cool side and they didn’t disappoint.
Since they weren’t able to hold their last show in LA in 2020, they gave updates for their fans. Ziu revealed he does cardio in the morning. Ayno said he was able to walk around LA the day before but was sad it was raining. Rapper Lou was proud to mention that Ziu is cast in a musical and he hopes everyone could support in anyway since it’s in South Korea. Lastly, St. Van gave his update and sadly stated he came down with a cold the day before but he was still ready to give it his all on stage.
Fans Join In!
VAV revealed that the next few tracks are only fun if VAMPS join in. They promised to add a song to the set if fans are energetic. And it was sure loud in there during St. Van’s energy check. The boys performed their Latin-themed tracks “Senorita” and “Give Me More”!
The group didn’t forget to mention that the “Designer” music video was filmed in Los Angeles so they have a lot of memories in the city.
The fans continued to interact with the boys and even turned on their phone lights/lightsticks for “Winter Breeze,” and “Special”. “Marry Me” was fun because the boys played around by giving each other flowers, rings and proposed to each other.
VAMPS Go On Stage
It just wouldn’t be a VAV concert without fans going on stage. The members always love interacting with their fans. They picked 6 lucky fans to go on stage for the Tell Me Your Wish corner! Lou asked the fans to each pick a mission or wish from the red papers he had.
The first fan got to dance with Ziu and they even performed a part of “Designer” together. He was surprised she knew the moves but seemed very happy!
Many were celebrating their birthday including two of the fans on stage. The group sang happy birthday to each of them so they had a birthday to remember. One fan was serenaded by Jacob who rapped a Chinese song. Lou asked St. Van to redo because Jacob failed his mission. In the end, the fan still picked Jacob over St. Van. The other birthday girl got a selfie video with Ayno!
Ziu took several selfies with the fan he picked and she now has something to take with her. Ace’s fan picked the back hug but he didn’t just stop at a hug. He lifted her up and swung her around. Lou revealed that his mission has been acting cute (Aegyo) for 5 out of the 10 stops and he once again got it again. He acted cute for his chosen fan.
Lastly, St. Van’s fan chose the wall slam with Ayno and Lou acting as the wall. VAV made it a memorable night for many fans.
The Concert Continues
“Spotlight” and “Give It To Me” were in the next set alongside a few more tracks. The concert was soon coming to an end and Lou, St. Van, Ayno, Ace, Ziu, and Jacob asked fans to take a photo with them. They also did a video challenge with their VAMPS in the audience.
They left the stage before returning for the encore performance. VAV came back in tour shirts and while they weren’t designer, they were designed specifically for each of them.
Each member said their goodbyes as this is their last stop on tour. Lou said that even though the tour was long and the schedule was tough, but whenever he went on stage, he felt good. Ziu sang a short snippet of “Rewrite the Stars” as a goodbye to fans. Ace spoke a bit and then sang a short song that he saved just for LA with Ayno beatboxing.
Ayno said he didn’t want to leave so fans told him he can just stay. Jacob revealed this was a lot of fun since this was his first concert in LA (missed the first one and then LA was canceled due to COVID). Lastly, St.Van thanked fans from the bottom of his heart as the only reason they can go on tour, is because of VAMPs.
Before leaving, they sang more songs and interacted with fans. “Touch You” and “Give Me More” were among the last tracks performed. Fans left with smiles on their face.
The last part of the stop was snapshots with the members so the fans who bought it prior to the concert, were able to stay for one last interaction with their favorite members.
