Vicki Lovelee releases her debut EP! The EP fuses orchestral instrumentation with dramatic, pop elements, creating a dark and theatrical sound. Sonically, the record sits somewhere between Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey. Lyrically, it embodies the fears and vulnerabilities we’re afraid to experience, such as death, anxiety and questions about religion.
She says,
Welcome to PHASE 1: SHADOWS 🌘 I’m so excited to share this new EP with you! This EP is a way for us to cope and overcome whatever it is. This dark phase is just temporary before we grow and move on to the next. Whatever your shadows are, just remember you’re not alone.

Who is Vicki Lovelee?
Vicki Lovelee is a Chinese Canadian alt-pop singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. She uses orchestral instrumentation and fuses them with dramatic, pop elements; ultimately creating a dark and theatrical sound. Lovelee frequently uses skulls, pink paint and eccentric black clothing to help tell her story. Her music embodies a combination of edgy yet vulnerable; having eccentric elements like Lady Gaga and lush instrumentations like Lana Del Rey, while her writing and producing styles are influenced by pop artists like MARINA and Lorde.
Lyrically, Lovelee is unafraid to dive deep into topics like religion, death and struggle with anxiety. “I’m a huge advocate for mental health awareness and believe in the acceptance of all cultures and identities” says Lovelee. “I take painful experiences and turn them into music and empowerment.”
Lovelee’s new debut EP “Phase 1: Shadows” was just released on October 2021! It includes previous singles like “Intruder”, “Crossed Off” and “Summer Is Fallin”. “This EP represents the first release of a three-part series,” says Lovelee. “It starts with our most painful experiences (like depression and heartbreak) and takes listeners through the roller coaster of emotions, in order to find peace of mind at the end.”
Her music has been featured by online publications like Toronto Guardian (2021), WISH USA 107.5 (2021), and Lefuturewave (Netherlands, 2020)
