Vicki Lovelee has returned with a new single “Counting Me”. Vicki Lovelee is a Chinese Canadian alt-pop singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. She uses orchestral instrumentation and fuses them with dramatic, pop elements; ultimately creating a dark and theatrical sound.
Vicki says, “the track has a dark alt-pop, theatrical sound (think Lady Gaga meets Phantom of the Opera.) It’s about someone who left you but still constantly thinks about you. They then realize you’re thriving without them, which makes them think about you even more (“When you close your eyes, you’re not counting sheep you’re counting me.”)“
You can now stream the track through multiple platforms here.

Vicki Lovelee is a Chinese Canadian alt-pop singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. She uses orchestral instrumentation and fuses them with dramatic, pop elements; ultimately creating a dark and theatrical sound. Lovelee frequently uses skulls, pink paint and eccentric black clothing to help tell her story. Her music embodies a combination of edgy yet vulnerable; by having eccentric elements like Lady Gaga and lush instrumentations like Lana Del Rey, while her writing and producing styles are influenced by pop artists like MARINA and Lorde.
Lyrically, Lovelee is unafraid to dive deep into topics like religion, death and struggle with anxiety. “I’m a huge advocate for mental health awareness and believe in the acceptance of all cultures and identities” says Lovelee. “I take painful experiences and turn them into music and empowerment.”
Her music has been featured by online publications like Toronto Guardian (2021), WISH USA 107.5 (2021), and Lefuturewave (Netherlands, 2020).
