Having kicked off in Bangkok in mid-October, soloist and Korean rock band The Rose member Woosung wrapped up his 2024 B4 WE DIE World Tour in Los Angeles on November 17th, 2024. The artist easily sold out the city’s famous Shrine Expo Hall for his special hometown show, which also featured special openers Radio Garçon, Raiden, and fellow bandmate Parclassic (also known as Dojoon of The Rose).
Opening Acts
The show began with a thirty-minute DJ set from Radio Garçon. Continuing the hype energy and EDM grooves, Raiden was next with another thirty-minute long set. Aside from unique mixes, the famed DJ also played some of his most popular tracks. Songs such as “Yours,” a collaboration track with EXO member Chanyeol, rapper Changmo, and vocal powerhouse LEE HI. Following a short intermission and stage change, the last opener of the night took the stage.
Known for being another versatile member of The Rose, Dojoon, known by his DJ name Parclassic on this tour, showed fans another side of his talents. His set featured songs from artists such as Fred Again, KYGO, Zedd, David Guetta, and more. As the fans in the general admission crowd danced, jumped, and cheered along to the heavy bass and fast beats that Parclassic was spinning, his thirty-minute set also came to a quick close. With a couple of close fainting calls in the large crowd through the night, Dojoon stopped his set at one point to assist. “Make a little road to the left, no to the right, to the left. This way. Whatever”, he said a little frustrated trying to give directions which made the audience laugh and assist security. Unlike the others, however, the end of Parclassic’s set only meant one thing—it was Woosung’s turn to take the stage.
Woosung Graces the Stage
The singer started his set with “Paper Cuts,” a song with a mellow introduction that slowly builds up into an upbeat track perfect to scream the lyrics along too. Continuing the momentum with more songs from his latest album, 4444, the next songs up were “Before We Die” and “Never Let Go.” Taking a quick pause to greet the crowd, the singer took a trip down memory with the next few songs on the setlist. First up was Woosung’s 2019 solo debut song, “FACE,” followed by 2021 single “Lazy.” Continuing in chronological order, he performed all four tracks from his 2022 album, MOTH, next, in the same order as the tracklist—”ComE dOWn,” “Side Effects,” “Phase Me,” then “Modern Life.”
Following the setlist to show off the different phases of his music, life, and style, Woosung performed two more tracks off his latest album. A special stage with Parclassic that had fans screaming the loudest they had been thus far. Performing some of The Rose’s more recent releases, the two members that make up half the band prepared remixed versions of “Lifeline,” “Back To Me,” and “Sour,” much to the audience’s delight. Though everyone had been screaming, cheering, and dancing already, this section of the show seemed to reignite everyone’s energy and passion, as most fans were originally introduced to Woosung the soloist as Woosung from The Rose.
Especially for LA, Woosung mentioned that “Let There Be Light” was a special remix by Raiden himself. With the tour coming after his 4444 album release, it was no surprise that Woosung performed the last few tracks off the album to end the show, finishing with “44 (Forget Forever).” Woosung exited the stage with promises to return again soon, as The Rose.
