YG’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk shared details about Big Bang’s upcoming album this year.
When he met with reporter on January 26, he said, “The album will be released sometime in the summer, possibly in June, July or August. G-Dragon, who is going to be producing the album, will have no other official schedule starting this March. I did this so he can just be in the producing room. He’s fast when it comes to writing songs, so it won’t take him too long to produce the full-length album.”
Before the press meeting took place, Big Bang held a concert titled 2014 BIGBANG +α IN SEOUL on January 26 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
G-Dragon said during the concert, “I always feel bad for my fans, and I think the only way to express my apologies is by releasing an album and present new songs. I’ve been working hard on it.”
“To be a little more specific, Big Bang’s full-length album will be released this summer,” added the Big Bang member. “It’s been many years since we debuted, but we only have a few full-length albums. So we’ll release one this summer. The summer is not too far away. We’ll work hard to come back as Big Bang as a whole, so you can all be proud of us.”
